About

My name is Phoebe Taiano

I’m a Londoner, a daughter, sister, auntie and creative at heart , with an undergrad in Drama and Film. I’d always had a peculiar talent for accents, but like many graduates, I took a detour after university and spent several years working in the wholesale industry.

At 27, feeling unfulfilled in my career I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion. I completed an MA in Voice Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, which marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life and career.

My teaching style is open, supportive, and free of judgment. I believe the best learning happens when my clients feel safe enough to explore, experiment, and trust their own voices. Alongside my voice work, I’m also a qualified Yoga Coach, Reiki Level 2 trained, and have completed all three Knight-Thompson Speech Workshops, continually adapting and expanding my practice.

In 2020, I lost my best friend and mumma, Gina, to cancer. That loss gave me a fearlessness and drive for change. When the opportunity arose to work in the UAE, at the first ever drama school in the Middle East (Sharjah Performing Arts Academy),  I followed my curiousity and said yes.

The move opened up a new area of practice for me: working with L2 speakers and supporting them in developing a kinder, more confident relationship with their body, breath, and voice. Alongside this, I specialise in accent and dialect work, as well as voice-over direction for audio, areas that really excite me and allow me to bring together my love of storytelling, voice, and performance.

The voice is a truly magical tool for expression and connection. I’m endlessly intrigued by it, and I love using my intuition, curiosity, and skills to help my clients unlock the full potential of theirs.

"Phoebe helped me with my General American Accent for a recent audition. She was clear, patient and most of all we had fun! What a great session. Would highly recommend."
